Service Tower

Service Towers are an often overlooked element of the game that was introduced with the The Notum Wars expansion. Service towers are a type of 'pet' that is totally stationary but acts as a vicinity sentry and offers a pulsing vicinity protective buff and heal program. The damage on the towers, at any level, is nothing that will impress a veteran player, but can be very useful to those people without expansions beyond The Notum Wars as many Froobs do.

While the database contains levels of tower beyond ql 225, the highest that can currently be made is the 225 Cyborg service tower due to availability of components to make higher level versions.

You can obtain the towers from your local shop - either premade ones (up to QL75) or tradeskill ones (up to QL300). As with the advanced towers, the requirements for the high ones (QL200 and above) are rather obscene to create. Thankfully enough, once a tower has been built, placing it is easier, so you might want to contact one of your crafter friends, if you can't build them yourself. Keep in mind that the Towers have level-requirements as well, so you cannot build them unless you meet their respective requirements in level as well as in skills.

[edit] Tradeskill Process

The combination of items in Anarchy Online works as followed:

Open the tradeskill window (Ctrl-t). Here you can place the two items you want to combine in the left and middle part. The resulting Item will be shown in the right area. Missing skills, or non possible combinations will be shown below. A detailed look on the resulting item is possible with a simple shift-left-click on it. It is recommended to have free inventory space before combining items, else the item will end in the overflow window.

Like normal pets, service towers have their own command set and may be directed. If you use a pet info window they will show up as an entry in this window. Unfortunately, towers are considered to be non-human mechanical pets so most of the programs used for mechanical pets will not work, and since the towers do not have any expansions beyond Notum Wars you cannot use any more powerful general buffs on them.

/tower attack	Makes the tower attack your targeted enemy
/tower rename [name]	Renames the tower to [name]
/tower guard	Will set the tower on autoguard you if you are attacked.
/tower terminate	Will terminate the tower allowing you to build a new one.
/tower behind	Sets the tower on wait mode
/tower report	Reports the towers activities
/tower chat "[String]"	Makes the tower chat
